Because SlickBG is designed from the ground up to process images entirely on your device, our approach to privacy is fundamentally different from most online image editing tools. We believe privacy shouldn't be an opt-in feature — it should be the default.

SlickBG is built around a privacy-first architecture. Here's what that means in practice:

• No images are collected. Every image you upload is processed exclusively within your browser. We have no mechanism — and no desire — to access, view, or store your images.
• No personal information is required. SlickBG does not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or share any personal details.
• Minimal analytics data. If analytics is enabled by the site administrator, we may collect basic, anonymized page-view data (such as page visits and general geographic region) to help us understand how the site is used. This data cannot be used to identify you personally.

Given that we collect almost no personal data, there is very little to "use." However, to be fully transparent:

• Analytics. Anonymized usage data, if collected, is used solely to improve the site — for example, understanding peak traffic times or identifying which pages are most visited.
• Service improvement. Aggregated, non-personal data may inform decisions about feature prioritization, performance optimizations, and site reliability.

Because SlickBG's architecture ensures that your images never leave your device, the risk of a data breach involving your images is effectively zero. There is no server-side database containing user images to compromise.

• Client-side processing. All image processing is performed within the sandboxed environment of your web browser, which provides inherent security isolation.
• HTTPS encryption. While we don't transmit your images, the SlickBG website itself is served over HTTPS, ensuring that any page requests or analytics data is encrypted in transit.
• Minimal attack surface. By not collecting or storing personal data, we've eliminated the primary target for malicious actors. The best security is not having data to protect.

SlickBG is a free, open tool available to users of all ages. Because we do not collect personal information from anyone — including children — there are no special concerns regarding minors' use of the service.

• No account or age verification is required to use SlickBG.
• No personal information (name, email, location, etc.) is collected from any user, regardless of age.
• Images processed by children are subject to the same privacy guarantees: they are never uploaded or stored anywhere outside the child's device.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we do:

• The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will be revised to reflect the most recent changes.
• We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes, such as through a notice on the website.
